It also approved the membership applications of Slovakia, France, Japan, and Uzbekistan, among other topics serving the development of the sport of tent pegging.<br>At the beginning of the meeting, Haitham bin Mohammed Jawad Al-Lawati, Secretary-General of the Federation, invited the President to commence the meeting after the legal quorum was reached.<br>Speech<br>Mohammed bin Issa Al-Fairooz, President of the International Tent Pegging Federation, delivered a speech in which he reemphasized gratitude and deep appreciation to the Sultanate of Oman\u2014its leadership and people\u2014for hosting the Federation\u2019s headquarters and for the financial and moral support provided by the respected government.<br>Al-Fairooz also highlighted the categorized international championships organized by the Federation last year. At the beginning of 2024, the Arab Republic of Egypt hosted the second edition of the Military Tent Pegging Championship in April, with six countries participating: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Qatar, and Iraq. Egypt won the championship, Jordan came second, and Saudi Arabia placed third.<br>In July, the Russian Federation hosted the fourth edition of the Traditional Tent Pegging Championship with the participation of eight countries: Russia, Qatar, Belarus, South Africa, the UAE, Syria, Egypt, and Kazakhstan. South Africa won this championship, Egypt came second, and the UAE came third.<br>On this occasion, we extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the countries that hosted these significant international tent pegging championships, as their efforts greatly contribute to the global spread and development of the sport. We also encourage other member countries to take the initiative in hosting similar international events.<br>President Al-Fairooz mentioned that on the occasion of World Tent Pegging Day, October 27, 2024, the Federation organized several programs, activities, and events. A virtual seminar was held for all fans of the sport, attended by the President and members of the Federation\u2019s Board of Directors, with more than 500 participants. Their proposals and questions were heard, all aiming at advancing the sport.<br>He also spoke about the Federation\u2019s continuous efforts to diversify championship formats and organize events across different continents, aiming to positively impact practitioners and enthusiasts alike. In conclusion, he thanked the Federation\u2019s board members and the General Assembly for their dedication to promoting this ancient sport.<br>World Cup Championship<br>The General Assembly approved the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan\u2019s application to host the fifth Tent Pegging World Cup, which will be held in 2026. The proposal highlighted key ideas and factors that would contribute to Jordan\u2019s successful organization of the event.<br>World Cup Draw<br>The meeting included the draw for the fifth Tent Pegging World Cup, which resulted in four groups:<br>\u2022\u2060 \u2060Group A: Iraq, South Africa, Sudan, Russia, Malaysia, and Belarus.<br>\u2022\u2060 \u2060Group B: India, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Germany, Jordan, Norway, and Indonesia.<br>\u2022\u2060 \u2060Group C: Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, USA, Uzbekistan, and the UK.<br>\u2022\u2060 \u2060Group D: Yemen, Egypt, UAE, Bahrain, Canada, and Libya.<br>New Member Countries<br>The General Assembly approved the membership applications submitted by Slovakia, France, Japan, and Uzbekistan to join the Federation.<br>Hosting Qualifications<br>Iraq submitted a request to host the qualifications for Group A. Uzbekistan requested to host Group C.
