e city of Aqaba, Jordan, will host the second edition of the Aqaba International Beach Tent Pegging Championship from January 15 to 18, 2025. Participating countries include Jordan, Egypt, Germany, Iraq, Kuwait, Pakistan, and South Africa. The championship is held under the supervision of the International Tent Pegging Federation and supported and organized by the Jordanian Public Security Directorate and the Royal Jordanian Equestrian Federation. It is conducted under the royal patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Alia bint Al-Hussein and attended by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed Al-Fairouz, President of the International Tent Pegging Federation, along with several princes, officers, and officials in Aqaba. Brigadier General Omar Al-Jbour, Commander of the Public Security Ceremonial Unit and Head of the Championship’s Organizing Committee, confirmed that all preparations for the second edition of the championship have been completed. The first edition was hosted by the Sultanate of Oman. Al-Jbour added that this championship follows Jordan’s successful hosting of the First International Military Tent Pegging Championship in 2019 and the Second International Women’s Championship in 2022. On the sidelines of the event, several international training courses for judges and coaches will also be held. The organizers extend their wishes for an enjoyable stay to all participants.
