The International Tent Pegging Federation commemorated a full decade of unwavering progress, achieving numerous milestones in the field of Tent Pegging. Established on October 27, 2013, with its official headquarters based in Oman, the Federation has witnessed remarkable expansion. Starting with 19 member countries, it has rapidly grown to encompass 46 member nations by 2023.

The event drew the participation of equestrian enthusiasts from Oman, as well as delegates from several friendly and allied nations. It was also graced by the presence of prominent heads of sports federations in Oman and a gathering of media professionals.
Words from the Federation: The ceremony commenced with a speech delivered by Anis bin Muhammad bin Marhoon Al Maamari, the Deputy Executive Affairs of the International Tent Pegging Federation. He extended a warm welcome to the attendees, expressing joy at celebrating the International Tent Pegging Day and reflecting on the completion of a decade since the establishment of the Federation, with Oman as its official headquarters. Al Maamari acknowledged the significant contributions of Oman, particularly the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth, in supporting the Federation’s mission to enhance the global presence of Tent Pegging. He attributed the successes and achievements in the sport to the collective efforts of the Federation’s board of directors, the General Assembly, and all its working committees, each contributing their expertise and dedication to propagate the sport on a global scale.
Expansion and Growth: The International Tent Pegging Federation has diligently pursued its agenda of promoting and expanding the sport. Notably, it organized four World Cup championships, with Oman hosting the first event in 2014, followed by the Arab Republic of Egypt in 2016, the United Arab Emirates in 2018, and South Africa in 2023. Additionally, the Federation oversaw several specialized events, including the first international beach Tent Pegging championship on Masirah Island in 2017, the first international women’s Tent Pegging championship in Khassab in 2018, and the first international traditional sports dress championship in Qadum in 2021. Additionally, the Federation organized and oversaw the first military Tent Pegging championship in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
Agreements:The ceremony witnessed the signing of partnership and cooperation agreements between the International Tent Pegging Federation and the Asian Equestrian Federation. On behalf of the International Tent Pegging Federation, the agreement was signed by Anis bin Muhammad bin Marhoon Al Maamari, the Deputy Executive Affairs of the International Tent Pegging Federation, and on behalf of the Asian Equestrian Federation, it was signed by Hamad Abdulrahman Al Attiya, the President of the Asian Equestrian Federation.
Another agreement was signed between the International Tent Pegging Federation and the Russian Tent Pegging Federation. On behalf of the International Tent Pegging Federation, the agreement was signed by Anis bin Muhammad bin Marhoon Al Maamari, the Deputy Executive Affairs of the International Tent Peggin Federation, and on behalf of the Russian Federation, it was signed by Marina Sichina, the President of the Russian Tent Pegging Federation.
The International Tent Pegging Federation also signed a cooperation agreement with the Qatar Equestrian Federation. On behalf of the International Tent Pegging Federation, the agreement was signed by Haitham bin Muhammad Jawad Al Lawati, the Secretary-General of the Federation, and on behalf of the Qatar Equestrian Federation, the agreement was signed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Nuh Al Thani, the Secretary-General of the Qatar Equestrian Federation.
