The Egyptian team crowned champions of the International Military Tent Pegging Championship

The Egyptian Tent Pegging team was crowned champions of the International Military Tent Pegging Championship organized by the Egyptian Equestrian Federation under the supervision of the International Tent Pegging Federation, coinciding with the Arab Military Equestrian Championship Egypt 2024, inaugurated by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The competition took place at Egypt International Olympic City in the New Administrative Capital. The Jordanian Tent Pegging team secured the runner-up position, with the Saudi Arabian team achieving third place.
The championship witnessed fierce competition among the participating teams. On the first day (Lance competitions), the Jordanian team emerged victorious, with Egypt as the runner-up and Saudi Arabia in third place. On the second day (Sword competitions), Egypt claimed the title, followed by Jordan in second place and Iraq in third. The Egyptian team also triumphed on the third day (Rings and Peg, Lemons and Peg, and Relay competitions), with Jordan as the runner-up and Saudi Arabia in third place.
In the individual competitions, on the first day, the Egyptian rider Rany Hamlet clinched first place, followed by Edhyem Hussein from Jordan in second place, and Osama Lwaa from Iraq in third. On the second day, Osamah Liwaa from Iraq secured first place, Ahmed Bakr from Egypt came second, and Rany Hamlet from Egypt finished third. In the third day’s competitions, Egyptian rider Mohamed El Maghawry claimed first place, followed by Mostafa Idris from Egypt in second place, and Mushail Al Shammari from Saudi Arabia in third place.
Overall, Osama Liwaa from Iraq emerged as the overall individual champion of the event, followed by Rany Hamlet from Egypt in second place, and Edhyem Hussein from Jordan in third.
The championship was attended by Mohammed bin Issa Al-Fayrooz, President of the International Tent Pegging Federation, and heads of delegations from participating countries.
