Al Fairoz Endorsed as ITPF President (2026–2030)

The General Assembly of the International Tent Pegging Federation (ITPF), held in Muscat, endorsed Mohammed bin Issa Al Fairoz as President for the 2026–2030 term. The meeting brought together 38 countries, with 15 attending in person and 23 joining online.

A total of 15 candidates applied for the Board. The President was elected unopposed, while 14 candidates competed for 8 Board seats. Voting was conducted electronically, supervised by the Elections Committee chaired by Ziyad Al Balushi, with full technical support in place.

The Assembly approved the 2025 administrative and financial reports. It also reviewed proposals to host a range of international events in 2026–2027, including junior, youth, veterans, beach, women’s, military, university, traditional attire, friendship, and club championships. Oman was proposed to host Group 3 World Cup qualifiers, while Russia will host Group 1. Jordan confirmed its readiness to host the 2026 World Cup.

Key achievements in 2025 included cooperation agreements with the Arab and Saudi Equestrian Federations and the International Horseback Archery Federation. International events were hosted across Jordan, Pakistan, South Africa, and Egypt.

The new Board members elected are: Hadeel Al Haddad, Sheikh Ahmed Al Thani, Gerald Frank, Sultan Mohammed Ali, Sara Al Masri, Gaziev Bakhrom Jon, Khalid Hidaya Allah, and Lina Al Zain.
Anis Al Maamari was appointed Vice President (Executive Affairs), Haitham Al Lawati as Secretary General, and Ali Al Zahrani as Assistant Secretary General.

The meeting concluded with recognition of the previous Board and a follow-up meeting with the newly elected members.
