Sudan and South Africa Secure Qualification from the Third Qualifying Group for the fifth Tent Pegging World Cup 2026

The Sudan Tent Pegging Team secured first place in the Qualifying Tournament for the Fifth Tent Pegging World Cup 2026 – Group A, hosted by the Russian Federation from 13–16 August 2026. The competitions were held in Moscow.
The South African Tent Pegging Team finished as runners-up, while the Iraqi Tent Pegging Team claimed third place.
The tournament witnessed strong competition among the participating teams. Sudan won the first day’s competition (Lance competitions), with Iraq finishing second and South Africa third.
Sudan also claimed first place in the second day’s competition (Sword competitions), followed by South Africa in second place and Iraq in third.
On the third day, Iraq took first place in the Competitions of Rings & Pegs and Lemon & Pegs, and Relay. Russia finished as runners-up, while South Africa secured third place.
