The Pakistani Tent Pegging Team claimed first place in the World Cup Qualifying Tournament for Tent Pegging – Group C, hosted by the Sultanate of Oman from 18 to 20 September 2026. The competition took place in Muscat, at the Royal Oman Police Cavalry Arena.
The Oman Tent Pegging Team secured second place, followed by Qatar in third.
In the individual overall standings, Pakistani riders claimed all three podium positions, with the following results:
- 1st Place: Tasawwar Abbas (Pakistan)
- 2nd Place: Muhammad Sagheer (Pakistan)
- 3rd Place: Muhammad Nasir Abbas (Pakistan)
The event witnessed intense competition among the participating teams. Pakistan secured first place on the opening day in the Lance competitions, with Qatar finishing second and Iran taking third place.
On the second day, Pakistan once again claimed first place in the Sword competitions, followed by Iran in second place and Oman in third.
On the third and final day, the Omani team secured first place in the Rings & peg, and Lemon & peg competitions. Pakistan finished second, while Qatar took third place.
