The First international Women’s championship in Oman

The International Tent Pegging Federation organized the first International Women’s tent pegging championship in Khasab State at Musandam province, with the participation of six teams during the last of January, the championship succeeded for several reasons, including: the establishment of the first international women’s championship in the world and specifically In Musandam  overnorate,
where all the obstacles were overcome and managed by the International Federation, as well as the large audience that had came from inside and outside Oman. The South African team achieved the first place in the three-day competition for 20 rounds with
a total of 510 points, the second place goes to the Australian team with a total of 460.5 points, where the Omani team achieved the third place with a total of 386.5 points, the Fourth place was taken by the Egyptian team with a total of 374.5 points, and fifth place
was for the Sudanese team with a total of 370.5 points, and the sixth place for the Jordanian team with a total of 284 points. The closing ceremony was attended by His Excellency Khalifa Bin Al-Murdas Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, in the presence of Mohamed Bin Issa Al-Fairuz, President of International Tent Pegging Federation, Sayid Munther bin Saif bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Omani Equestrian Federation, number of governors and dignitaries, and Excellencies members of the State Council
and Shura Council, and members of the International Tent Pegging Federation.
